'G' to 'N'

Does anyone have any recent experience of transfering a 'G' registered GA plane to the 'N' register?
I am about to start down this route and would appreciate the wisdom of anyone who has been down this way before.

I did it several years ago.

IAE at Cranfield told me a while ago that they were averaging about one a week G to N
